Abstrak

Stroke is a blood vessel disorder that causes acute loss of brain function for 24 hours or more. Stroke sufferers experience permanent disability due to serious neurological deficits caused by stroke, the most significant of which are loss of motor function, as well as induced paralysis, pathological reflexes, and spasticity, which interfere with a person's independent mobility. This review article aims to identify the impact of physical exercise on improving the motivation and quality of life of stroke patients. The method used in this study is a systematic review. Data collection was carried out by searching, documenting and reviewing all articles related to the impact of physical exercise on improving the motivation and quality of life of stroke patients in the period 2019-2024 obtained from the PubMed database. Ten articles were obtained that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The articles obtained came from Australia (2 articles), France (1 article), the Netherlands (1 article), South Korea (1 article), Japan (1 article), Germany (2 articles), Taiwan (1 article), Sweden (1 article). The conclusion obtained is that physical exercise can have a positive effect on improving the quality of life of stroke patients, through increasing physical mobility abilities.
