Gambaran Penggunaan N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) Pada Pasien Covid-19 Di RS X Periode Juni-Agustus 2022

Penyakit Covid-19 merupakan ancaman yang nyata bagi kesehatan di seluruh dunia. Pada kasus Covid-19, N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) telah digunakan sebagai terapi suportif pengobatan. Penyakit Covid-19 sering dikaitkan dengan ketidakseimbangan oksidan-antioksidan, yang menyebabkan peradangan dan kerusakan jaringan. NAC selain menjadi mukolitik, telah terbukti menjadi antioksidan yang efektif dalam terapi Covid-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola penggunaan NAC sebagai terapi pengobatan pada pasien Covid-19 pada pasien rawat jalan di Rumah Sakit X periode Juni-Agustus 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan data sekunder secara retrospektif. Hasil penelitian dari total 89 sampel pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi didapatkan hasil yaitu berdasarkan kategori usia NAC paling banyak digunakan pada kategori usia dewasa (26-45 tahun) dengan total 46 pasien (51,69%). Berdasarkan jenis kelamin paling banyak terjadi pada pasien dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki dengan total 48 pasien (53,93%). Berdasarkan dosis penggunaan NAC paling banyak digunakan pada dosis 3 x 600 mg secara oral dengan jumlah pasien sebanyak 56 pasien (62,92%). Adapun lama penggunaan NAC yaitu selama 10 hari dengan total 71 pasien (79,78%) dan gejala penyakit yang paling banyak terjadi adalah gejala demam disertai batuk dengan total 55 pasien (61,80%).
