Abstrak

Perkembangan pesat sektor pariwisata terutama industri MICE di Indonesia nampaknya tidak sepenuhnya memberikan dampak positif namun juga dapat memimbulkan dampak merugikan dalam hal keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan alternatif kebijakan dalam rangka mencegah dan mengurangi dampak negatif industri MICE terhadap lingkungan, sosial-budaya, dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode scooping review dengan cara mengumpulkan informasi dari referensi terkait isu-isu pariwisata terutama sektor industri MICE dan dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis konteks yang relevan terhadap tujuan dan ruang lingkup penelitian terkait dengan konsep keberlanjutan yang mungkin dapat diterapkan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan terdapat beberapa kebijakan yang bisa diterapkan baik dari sisi perencanaan hingga penyelenggaraan kegiatan MICE diantaranya green meetings, green architecture, green inovation & green supply chain, dan sumber daya manusia. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan masukkan bagi pemerintah dalam hal ini dikhususkan kepada Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif untuk dapat mengkaji dan menyusun kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan penerapan konsep keberlanjutan pada industri MICE di Indonesia sehingga mampu memberikan manfaat bagi semua pihak-pihak yang terlibat.
